Error downloading https://github.com/igrr/esptool-ck/... etc

Try as I might, I can't seem to get the boards extension to load. Error downloading https://github.com/igrr/esptool-ck/rele ... -win32.zip every time, but before I uninstalled and reinstalled Arduino 1.6.8 it was "Error downloading https://github.com/igrr/mkspiffs/releas ... load/0.1... " etc

I'm quite certain I have the right firewall permissions, and I can manually download the zipfiles if I tried, but how do I mash this all together so I can do something? Can I force load the manually downloaded files somehow?

Or is it a Windows10 thing?

Bump - and it's not a Win10 issue, I get the same problem using a Win7 workstation too.

What are you trying to do? I do not recognize the links you are using.

If you want to compile and run sketches on the ESP8266 using the Arduino IDE, see the following link for instructions.
