ESP8266 Community Forum

- Sat May 09, 2015 8:17 pm #17042 When I download custom Arduino IDE for ESP8266 for OSX Yosemite (10.10.3) I get this error message:But normal Arduino IDE (1.0.6 at least) works without asking anything. Should I download JRE7 specifically for the ESP8266 version of Arduino? I didn't find anybody else having the same problem...

- Sun May 10, 2015 9:48 am #17086 For all Arduino versions I used this always worked for me:

- install Java on the system, generic install of latest version
(this is a one time task, just install and add updates)

For every Arduino-Download, different versions (teensy, esp, etc.)
- delete the "java" folder from Arduino folder
