ESP8266 Community Forum

Hi all,
Has anyone been able to get the HelloMesh example sketch from esp8266/arduino on github working?
I've tried uploading the code to two separate esp-01's connected two separate computers - I opened the serial monitors and sent some text but it didn't show up on the other device!

I tried it with three ESP12s on my development table. It was so unreliable that I considered it useless. I don't understand enough yet in order to determine why it is so bad.

I have instead been looking at UDP communications as an option rather than the available mesh approach. I hope to get a better understanding of how to use the modules and eventually end up with a mesh type system.
