- Tue Aug 11, 2015 2:53 pm #25713 Changing in my Arduino IDE the ESP8266 release from stable(1.6.5-947-g39819f0) to staging( 1.6.5-1044-g170995a)
I can make no download any more.
I make the same preferences with my NodeMCU1.0
- Generic ESP8266, Serial, 80MHz, 40MHz, DIO,115200, 512K(64KSPIFFS) on COM3

Error message:

Code: Select allwarning: espcomm_sync failed
error: espcomm_open failed

just tested with my NodeMCU v0.9, it doesn't work automagicaly anymore but uploading *does* work when FLASH button on board itself is pressed just about after compiling is done.

Did test with my NodeMCU v1.0 board and it works fine, uploading with no button intervention needed.

Automatically never.
I have one from doit.am and from lolin (wemos.cc) Both the same

Was there something changed regarding upload?

- Tue Aug 11, 2015 5:20 pm #25731 ya, for some reason after I tried the staging, I'm broken with same error. Still trying different things.

Got it working, but not entirely sure how. I just removed them from the Board Manager, then json's from preferences and then restarted the program and added them back.
