Detect Audio Input

Hello,
I've been looking for days for a way to build an audio in sensor. I want to connect to a Wemos D1 mini or other esp module an audio port and send with ESPEasy a MQTT command, if at the audio input signal has been detected. Does anyone know a component with which this is possible?
If it goes, it should not cost much and should be kept as simple as possible. A finished module would be nice, if there is something that I have been looking for long but have not found yet.
Thanks

There are little modules that have electret microphones and a threshold adjust to detect sounds

The Module @torntrousers Posted seems to be that what i am Looking for.
But to Unterstand this Module: I have one Input Pin vor Audio and one Output Pin for the Feedback Audio detected or not for GPIO is that right?

The Module @btidey posted detects Sound from Surroundings Thats not what im Look for. Want to connect a Audio Cable to that Module.
