#90140 Hello all

Wanted to know, I'm developing two projects making use of ESP12F and ESP-01 .The projects will have LION battery that's connected through LION charging module the battery will further drive the ESP-01 and ESP-12 F based projects.I am planning to use resistor to reduce the 4.1v voltage(as when LION battery fully charged) to supply 3.3V as needed by ESP8266 based board, my concern is, is it fine or kindly guide do I need a separate voltage regulator for both these types of controllers and which regulator to make use of or if the ESP-01/ESP-12F has onboard voltage regulator..Kindly guide

#90141 You actually need a regulator, a resistor will not suffice.
Search the forum for "LDO (regulator)" which will give you plenty of results (this has be covered numerous times, there's no sense in covering it here again).
