You can use a 3.7V lipo battery and MCP1725T-3302E/MC LDO( to step down the voltage to 3.3V)

Hi again. I came across something I thought I'd better share here. For a one sensor project with ESP8266, you can try the power supply shown here. Here in this project, the user has used a 1300mAh Lipo battery. ESP32 has been used in this project. But ESP8266 can be powered in the same way. https://www.pcbway.com/project/sharepro ... 16696.html
