Using the latest IDE... compiling and running at 160Mhz works... question is are there any caveats....
Warnings... etc...

Is it safe to run the ESP8266 at 160Mhz?

160MHz is a supported clock speed, it's not overclocking. It will just use more power than 80MHz, so no reason to use it unless you need the power for faster transfer speed or more calculations or whatever.
