Compile binary files to image

Is there way to compile binary files directly into flash image?
I use streamFile method to send html to client. But I start wonder that Can I also bundle images(png) directly to my software image?
Also I start think that can I gzip compress my javascript files and send them as gzip content encoded. It will save flash and also speed up sending. I have no possibility to add external SD card because I do my own software to this kind http://www.aliexpress.com/item/rgbww-st ... 23622.html
btw that device is great board for many kind projects
