Connecting to University Network

I have recently purchased an esp8266 breakout board from adafruit and used the Arduino board simulation to run it. I was able to connect to my home network just fine but at my University there appears to be a problem. When I connect to home, all it asks me is for the network name, and password. But when I try to connect to my University network they ask for network name, identification, and password. I'm uncertain how to go about getting around this and any help would be appreciated!
