Hello Community,

i am really new to this interesting conponent, i have discovered this chip only yesterday through Research on the Internet. Well what motivates me is that this chip includes 32-bit CPU, is that right? I can also use it as master I²C to Control a sensor slave!! Well this is really very interesting! I have searched a lot and always (Adafruit, espruino...) have i noticed that i can use it with arduino IDE (edit the prog, compile and load to chip), i have installed the the board and i wrote an example Programm(that was on internet) and i have successfully compiled!

So now i would really ask you for my purpose, i want to Control a sensor through I²C and then send data through Wifi, Is that really possible to do only by the use of ESP8266? of what should i Aware be? the Wire library is the same als the included arduino Library, can i really use it? Please Reply me for further info! I want to know more about this chip before starting my Project.

Ah ja! also i can not find the pinout for the ESP8266, i can find only find it on a development board (Adafruit for instance), i want to create my own PCB (ESP8266 and the sensor i want to use) so where can i find the specification from the manufacturer? I think the manufacturer provides the Wifi contoller which includes the 32-bits cpu and a pcb Antenne at least for the Modell ESP-01, is that right?

have a very nice Merry Christmas!

hmm, wenn man so patschert ist, nichtmal das Datenblatt (z.B. im Wiki) zu finden, ist es dann nicht etwas vermessen schon von einem eigenen PCB-Design zu träumen?

You can start from here:

1. Breadboard fun : Breadboard Time ! Easy build CBDB Development board
Part 2: Programming Firmware - NodeMCU - ESP8266 - Cheap and dirty basic development board (CBDB)

2. Multifunctional Development Board: ESP8266 CBDB Ultimate

3. Flexible Multi-board configuration using ESP8266 nEXT EVo Board Design
