I have esp8266 WIFI model, i flashed it recently using v1.4.0.0 AT Firmware and i try to connect with it by serial comuunication from computer, i heve two problems with it :
1 - when i send restart command ( AT+RST) it restart but it send me "invalid" message.
2 - If I send connect to Acess point command (AT+CWJAP="XXXX","XXXXXXXX") it connect to this network but it stay restarting.

1. I think the "invalid" message is normal, if I remember correctly mine did the same.
2. How are you powering your ESP?
