General Improvement Ideas/Thoughts.

Suggestion 1:
For smooth transition really a good way to handle this problem would be to:
- Take all of the forums and put them into a main section called version-1&2
- Create a clone of the forum sections and create another main section called version-3.
Suggestion 2:
Something to consider.
Documentation, Moderation, Development = mmiscool / cicciocb
You may wish to have someone help moderate or document things at least even if they had to confer with you before making changes. We all help with support to some degree or would like to believe so. IDK I think you are doing great with all of it personally.
But, rome is not built in a day nor is it done alone!
Now rome is not being built basic is!
Knowing basic and what it stands for their are basic tasks that basic people over time have taken up interest in.
So the choices are to possibly use this help or maintain the course.
Basic is great either way it is like a free range cow on a nice day in the esp8266 community.
