Sorry my English is not so good.

I have a Project whit different I2C Pins, i make a Custom Build from the Basic this works fine with I2C on different Pins.

Pin Mapping on the ESP drive, is make more Flexible Config an make more Compatible to Exist Dev-Boards and Custom PCBs.
