I dont think I reversed the ports (I think the blue led is the uart recieve indicator - it wouldnt light up then?) but even reversed - nothing

Also it doesnt print out anything on boot time - power cycled it countless times now :/

You Sir, are my hero of the day.
I didnt noticed the "new version" chapter - connecting CH_PD to vcc does the trick

My serial connection is still a bit noisy but I can see the "ready"
