i've got two esp-01 from some ebay vendor.
my connection setup is : xm1584 set to 3.3v, usb-ttl pl2303hx.
when connecting esp01 i get red light on but no serial communication. if i reset the module, blue led blinks once and there is some static on the serial. but after that nothing. changing baud rates renders no results.
if i wire same way a nodemcu-0.9 instead of esp01, there is communication just fine.
any ideas what could be wrong?
