ESP8266 Community Forum

I am trying to make a project to give to someone. It is going just fine save one issue and I hope I explain it well.

My goal is to have the ESP come up, from a laptop connect to the SSID of the ESP. It will come up with a simple screen for SSID and password. Config it for the local WiFi network, save the settings, and then reboot. When it comes up again, it will not show the initial splash screen. It will then come up on the local WiFi network and be able to get out to use NTP.

So I know what I want to do, but how best to achieve this goal? Is there an example sketch I can look at?

I will keep searching the forums and web, but any direction would be appreciated.

https://github.com/gmag11/FSBrowser should do what you asked for. I have not looked at it for a while. There have been improvements made since I did.
