Is there anyway to go back to the prior board?
The new board is pretty to look at but ugly to use. The old board was ugly to look at but pretty to use.

I agree.

The new forum looks pretty, but:
- it is SLOW, and a page seems to build up in several chunks (try it on on iPad1, it's horrible)
- the contrast of the colors is much lower, making it more difficult to read.

Perhaps admin could investigate the issues.

yes its a bit too bling with all the animations and javascript, and at least a 3rd of the screen real estate is taken up by this "big news" crap we keep hearing about (but not hearing about!)
