Has anyone looked at the possibility of using the inbuilt TCP/IP functions to allow ESP8266 to be hardwired to say a router RJ45 LAN connection?
I appreciate using the WiFi is easy (as the chip was designed for) but in some circumstances a hardwired connection(s) have advantages.
