Hello,

how likely is it that this IC passes some of the important certifications? (FCC, CE, EN 300 328 1.8.1)

Its to be seen but the IC itself may pass, but once you add it to your board/product it needs to pass again.... someone may sell a module at somepoint that has a transferable approval, but the IC I believe can not do that on its own, so it will be up to someone to sell an approved module.

There is no reason to believe that you couldn't build FCC approved modules with this chip, however none of the modules I seen so far are in a form that could be approved.
FCC module guidelines https://apps.fcc.gov/eas/comments/GetPublishedDocument.html?id=208&tn=830118

Three main requirements:
1) a shield over the RF path
2) integrated antenna
3) proper labeling

The modules I've seen are meant to be incorporated into a larger design and then that larger design would go through the FCC process. Similar rules apply to CE testing.

Approved modules look like this:

So far with the lack of docs it all looks sketchy... :-) But we will see!
