- Mon Jun 05, 2017 8:39 pm #66776 I'm having a very weird issue. I have a bunch of ESP-12E modules. When I power them up they seem to work great at first. But if I shut them off and then turn them on again they refuse to boot. If I turn them off and wait a few minutes, though, they start working normally again. It's like they have some kind of cool down period before they can be turned on again.

When I try to turn them on, the LED does not blink as it normally does. I also don't get the usual bootloader message over UART. Its as if they're completely dead.

I really have no idea what could be causing this. Does anyone have any ideas?

Maybe your "turn on" is to slow? or some capacity still holding charge?

- Tue Jun 06, 2017 12:53 pm #66824 When they fail to start, pulling the reset pin low doesn't do anything. The only capacitors in my circuit are two 10 uF filter caps on the LM1117 voltage regulator. I could post my schematic if you think it would help.
