#66783 Hello, could you please add an HTTPS certificate to the forum? I don't particularly like my password being stolen ;)

#66837 It's always best to (although I know for a fact people seldomly do) use a different password for every site.

This ESP8266 forum isn't very likely to get targetted by hackers interested in your password or people snooping your traffic with this website.
Although for some of us, electronics (and the ESP in particular) is better than sex, it's not really something to be ashamed of if your privacy here is compromised. ;)

#66843 That may be true, but it is still best practice for sites to use SSL/TLS. It prevents accounts from being hijacked, prevents people from impersonating your site, and reduces the amount of tracking user's ISPs or government can do. It also helps protect irresponsible people with reused passwords. And unfortunately most people are still irresponsible.

Its not hard to switch over to HTTPS any more. You can get TLS certificates for free from Let's Encrypt.
