I just ordered a NodeMCU development board from aliexpress and had a few questions about the board. I'm use to just plugging wires directly from a ftdi to my ESP-01s and ESP-12s. My plan it to use this for programming and testing.
Does the ESP8266 just pop off the board or do you have to desolder it? Also is the micro usb port only for power or does also have a ftdi chip? Lastly, can anyone recommend a breadboard for the dev board?
