Hi Everyone,
As you can see from the title, this is my first IOT project using micro controller.
I'm using Sparkfun ESP8266 because of the wifi, so the sensor can notify me by email.
Currently I have problem connecting the esp8266 with the FTDI 5V. From the manual of the sparkfun esp8266, I see that the board itself provide a regulator making everything as 3.6V.
Another problem is the FTDI board did not have any name on the pin, I recognized the 5v pin and ground pin using multimeter.
I don't have any background on electrical engineering but I'm planning to implement this project for my chili plantation.
I really need a friend to discuss, thank you for your time.
