An overseas friend has modified my project to include a tipping bucket rain gauge, GPS features. Once new features are added we are unable to connect by browser to server. Have verified server is running, port being used is correct. Ports are forwarded at the gateway, ESP8266 device is trusted fully in firewall. I am able to ping ESP8266 device with completed replies, no lost pings.
ESP8266 device shows connected to Wifi gateway with correct IP address and correct port.
Update 12/02/2018 Digging deeper isolated issue to getDateTime function; which was not the correct code from my project file. Now able to connect by browser to server now. Sketch execution was stopping when the getDateTime function was called; compiled with no problem; just unexpected result.
