Getting some gibberish on AT+RST -- how to factory reset?

I"m getting a weird response on AT+RST:

AT+RST

OK
c_ÇÏRSöFjSöfJ[úâê
[Vendor:www.ai-thinker.com Version:0.9.2.4]

ready

I had it hooked up to an Arduino and the logic converter was bad so perhaps it applied an invalid config. Anyone have any idea on how to fix this issue? I was looking for a command to do a factory reset but could not find anything.

It seems to be functioning fine otherwise.

firmware 0018000902-AI03 Thanks

That looks normal to me. There is no factory reset. Just upload the firmware onto it again.

To clarify, are you saying that seeing this nonascii response is normal?

I didn't see it before I connected it to an Ardino. What is it? Thanks

Yes, I have seen that before and see no ill effects from my chip. If it was truely messed up you wouldn't see the legible text that comes next. Either way just reflash to make sure.
