Hello everyone,

I am trying to use CP2102 to drive the esp8266. I connected Tx, Rx of CP2102 to Rx, Tx of esp8266 respectively. VCC, GPIO0, CH_PD to 3.3V and GND to GND. Now I am trying to send AT commands using Hyperterminal and Putty but I am not able to type the commands in the terminal window. Can anyone please help me with this??

When I tried to power my ESP8266 using a CP2102 it did not work because the CP2102 could not supply enough power to the ESP8266.

I found I had to power the ESP-01 with a separate 3.3V power supply that could provide at least 300mA. I made one with a 3.3V regulator (TS1086CZ 3.3V 1.5A Low Dropout Positive Voltage Regulator) fed from a 5V 400mA dc plugin supply.
