[newbie] Battery-powered NodeMCU + CO2 sensor?

Hello,

Now that I have a working USB-powered 8266 TTGO board + CO2 sensor, I'd like to build a battery + USB powered alternative so I don't have to carry either a power bank or a USB charger.

The following page is nice, but the ~one hour long videos* (with computer-translated English subtitles) is a bit long to figure out how to put things together :

https://emariete.com/en/co2-meter-with- ... well-done/

Apparently, the following parts are needed:
  • NodeMCU + OLED
  • CO2 Sensor (eg. Senseair S8)
  • Power management board, charger MCP73871
  • Step up booster board
  • Battery protection board
  • Battery
  • ? Soldering Flux

Would someone have a 1) simpler tutorial and 2) firmware to get the job done?

Thank you.

Not sure if you have seen this one. This is quite detailed: https://emariete.com/en/meter-co2-esp82 ... nseair-s8/

Yes, I've used it to build my first sensor. Now, I'd like to build one with a battery. It's a bit more involved, so was looking for a shorter/more practical tutorial than this page.

I'll keep reading.
