Hi!

Have a problem with esp-01 from different suppliers, one working fine(bought at seedstudio.com), another having slow speed and unstable communication(another china supplier)

Both modules are flashed with my custom firmware.

Can be fake chips on the market? Or defect party? Or I missing something?

It highly depends on the supplier.. Quality vary widely from proper tested ones like Olimex ones to total crap ones where nobody gives a sht about QA&QC.

What kind of Production QA/QC to you think was involved?

One thing is incorrectly assembled module, and another - module different behaviour.
Problems with is that, modules are sending packets at different rate. Maybe untested chips or PCB electromagnetic interference?

Without a proper testing in production environment you can expect any type of strange behaviour you can imagine. Even a cheap PCB substrate can give you big trouble.
Some batches as I said were total crap other ones ok. Cheap stuff are coming packaged with a big price.
