ESP8266 Community Forum

Just out of curiosity, I want to know if this is a volunteer community or a community held by company?
Moreover, I know ESP8266 is published by a Chinese company, I am just wondering if there are any Chinese forum like this.
As I read Chinese more fluently,obviously.

this is a volunteer community. espressif comunity is bbs.espressif.com it is chinese but obviously here is much bigger than espressif bbs
