Hi,

Ive been the last 72 hours sleepless trying to understand what is going on.
Ive tryied every way to communicate to my esp-01 with a ttl to usb but it acts really strange.
I just receive strange chars, like non existant ones and stuff, and even the echo from the board is strange, if I press 'a', some times i get 'a', but sometimes i get 'r' or '!' or anything else. I can't send commands or anything.
Thought it was the baud but i tried every way possible.
Im attaching a screenshot of the output

Yes that seems to be a problem.

Have you flashed a firmware onto the module? Many of the modules I have bought seem to have come with no firmware on them, and acted similar to that.

Ive tried but i can't, it never gets the mac, and the progress bar never moves.
Using nodemcu-flasher.

Im using a breadboard power supply like this:

Tested the voltage and it seems correct.
Other sources you would recommend? that is the only 3.3v power source i think i've got.

Try starting flash tool and then reset/power-up the module, I've sometimes had to do that.
