ESP8266 Community Forum

I think it would be great to be able to send private messages to each other via this community? For example, just recently I was trying to assist a chap and would have been willing to skype or screen share with him ... but short of public email address exchanges and messages of the form "Hey ... jump on this chat room ..." ... I was stuck.

I see we have a live chat ... and that's great ... but I'd like to suggest that we add private messages if possible.

I never tried, but you should be able to send PMs from your user control panel, if you manually enter the username:
ucp.php?i=175
It would be more convenient though, if user profiles were enabled...

That seemed to work ... I sent myself a PM ... and it was available to be read ... but I didn't see any indicator that showed that I had a message waiting?
