AI-THINKER AP

When I look in network centre on pc I get an AP with the name AI-THINKER_FE53FA.
What is this and is there a way of removing it ?
Oh, it does disappear when 8266 turned off.

If you switch to STA mode, it will disappear too, since it there only in AP or ST+AP modes.

Right.
However, had other problems with nodemcu as well.
Would not accept uart.setup() for example - would pause and then reboot.
Reflashed 8266 several times before problems appear to be solved.
I guess further testing is in order.
