With the current limited instruction set and the promise of updated firmware in the near future I'd like to be ready to update the devices I already have (Wi07c).

Assuming the availability of compiled firmware images: what am I going to need in order up update the firmware?

You would need an USB-to-serial TTL 3.3V adapter, and XTCOM or esptool on the software side.

I expect CH_PD needs to be pulled down and RX/TX connected to the broken out GPIO?

Is the procedure documented anywhere?
