e-NABLE Phone Home

Remember the movie E.T. with the catch phrase "E.T. phone home"? Well now there is e-NABLE phone home in which those 3D printed hands and arms made by e-NABLE will be fitted with ESP8266 modules so they can send usage data back to a central e-NABLE server.
Usage data is really important because it helps the makers at e-NABLE in a lot of ways like what direction to take the research and development, who gets another hand when they outgrow theirs, and are kids (and some adults) really using these hands?
You can help! I (Les Hall) will be organizing a few like-minded volunteers to get this job done and you can serve in any capacity that would be helpful, from advisor who attends an occasional Google+ hangout meeting to share your wisdom with us, to maker who actually does the programming and/or design and test of the systems.
Please note that e-NABLE is an entirely volunteer organization so we'll have to provide for our own time and hardware. So anyway, if you are interested in contributing or just following the progress, please reply to this message!
Thanks,
Les
