Cannot get answer from esp-01

i have several esp-01 modules and 1 esp-12 dev board.
both are with latest mcu fw.
the esp-12 is working in esplorer ( i get reply, it detect the fw etc.) but the esp-01 keep on logging:
PORT OPEN 9600
Communication with MCU...
..........
..........
..........
..........
..........
..........
..........
..........
and get no reply.
i have build it on a breabdoard with 2 buttons (reset and flash). flashing is going well every time i try it but i cannot access the board in any other way.
anyone have any idea why it happen? i also tried with AT fw but no luck
