Hey everyone,
My Kickstarter project went live last night It's open source, based on an ESP8266-12E core running the Arduino IDE. The board has USB and CH430G chip for easy hacking, plus the spare pins are broken out for you to add on if you want to.
Some features you guys might be interested in are:
WiFi hotspot for setup
SSDP responder
mDNS responder
NTP time server
Controllable web interface.
