ESP8266 ESP-01 CISCO serial console cable DB9 to RJ45 pin ou

I was wondering if I could replace the physical serial console cable from CISCO with a ESP8266 ESP-01 module.
Then use Putty (or other serial terminal program) to connect to routers and switches.
Any help would be appreciated!
