Prior to downloading ios 9.2.1 I was able to access esp modules by their IP address using Chrome browser. Safari did not work. After downloading ios 9.2.1 I am unable to access the local network by IP address ie (192.168.1.xxx) except for my router. I can still access the esp boards with older iPad or iPhone. Anybody having this issue?

I am having the same issue. But I do not know what the fix is...I am new to the esp8266 platform too

I know this is an ios 9.2.1 issue as I can still access it from older iDevices without the upgrade. I can also use any pc browser to access the esp8266 from the direct ip address. Very curious as I have never been unable to access a device knowing its ip address. I have posted on Apple's community forum but have not had any responses.

I am still having issues connect iOS 9.x.x devices to the ESP8266. Is there any new information on this?
