I bought a 10 pack of those cheap white breakout boards off of ebay.

Well after assembling a few of them I could not get the ESP-12E to power up.

Discovered that the manufacturer is now installing 10k resistors on all 3 pads. This is a mistake, the middle one should be a shunt or 0 ohm resistor.

So if you have one of these and wonder why the VCC pin doesn't power the unit this is why.

Yeah, I was sent a batch free of charge with an order for ESP8266's so can't complain
One other "feature" is GPIO16 is incorrectly labelled GPIO15 (look at the 4th pin down top left) the proper GPIO15 is also printed lower right.

You know what they say, "You get what you paid for" just not sure how that applies here
