Watch out....bad batch of white breakout boards in the wild.

I bought a 10 pack of those cheap white breakout boards off of ebay.

The same kind of ones mentioned in this thread

Well after assembling a few of them I could not get the ESP-12E to power up.

Discovered that the manufacturer is now installing 10k resistors on all 3 pads. This is a mistake, the middle one should be a shunt or 0 ohm resistor.

So if you have one of these and wonder why the VCC pin doesn't power the unit this is why.

Yeah, I was sent a batch free of charge with an order for ESP8266's so can't complain :D
One other "feature" is GPIO16 is incorrectly labelled GPIO15 (look at the 4th pin down top left) the proper GPIO15 is also printed lower right.
