#46200 Hi! This is my first post. I'm pretty new to the ESP8266, and it's great to find out there is an active community surrounding it!

I'm trying to make a camera that can be accessed over Wi-Fi using the Huzzah board from Adafruit and this USB camera module:

Sorry if this is dumb question but is the Huzzah board capable of being a USB host and controlling a USB peripheral such as this camera?

#46227 The ESP8266 can't do USB, so it's the wrong choice for your task.
I'd recommed to use anything running Linux to get the USB cam conntected to wifi.
The obvious choice would be using a RPI or other SBC, but if you want to keep it small and even cheaper than a RPI, there are tiny routers available, that can be flashed with OpenWRT, such as this one:
