I am excited by what I have read about this ESP8266 thing and think that it could help me out. I want a temperature sensor in my bedroom to talk to my Raspberry Pi that is running Node-Red. It seems that I should be able to do this very cheaply.
Can't I just buy what I want though? Everywhere I have looked has tutorials about getting the sensor, buying breadboards, writing code ect ect. Can't I just but an ESP8266 thermometer with MQTT that I can point at my Pi?
I have very little time to experiment with this stuff so if I could just buy a pre-made solution there is a slim change that I'd actually be able to get working what I want. I also want a neat solution without breadboards and wires ect.
Does anyone sell stuff like this?
Thanks
