Two ESP01 remote control system

I'm trying to build a remote control system, where I use a ESP01 connected to one of my Arduino Uno to sent commands to the other ESP01 connected to another Arduino Uno. One is the server, and the other is the client.
The client has three buttons with LED's, and the server has nine relays.
I've found a lot of things about this kind of systems, but could not make them work... So I'm building a code myself.
I can really really use some help on this...
