Hi, My Name is Paul and I am new to ESP8266.
I would like to know if it is possible to use a DHT22 and ESP8266 to connect directly to a Table Browser.
I think I have read most of the info regarding the DHT22 but have realised that it might not be possible without a router.
Couls someone be Kind enough to take some of their valuable time to explain what I Need to do if what I want is possible.
Please try and use a very simple language since I do not know a lot about Routers, Switches, Browsers etc.
I use the arduino ESP and a Huzzar?? board.

Many thanks to the Kind Soul that answers me.

Yes, it is possible. ESP8266 can work in Access Point mode as the server. Then you can connect to it from a PC or tablet without a router.

Hi Rudy,

I have used the code that is in the book mark you sent me. I can connect my Tablet to this AP BUT I cannot connect to it with my browser when I try the IP address, it writes this WEB SITE is not availiable. What can I add to the code so that I can see something. When I get this sorted and can replaceit with the DHT22 info and thus Display the Temperature which I have been trying to do for the last 4 weeks...every day.. Please don't laugh.

Best Regards, Paul
