Arduino Mini Pro + Push Button = ESP8266 drops connection

Hallo,
I have an Push Button connected to my Arduino with a 1 k ohm resistor pulling it high. The problem I am having is when I press the Push Button the ESP8266 drops the connection (Or maybe restarting). Can anyone give me some advice as to where I can look for the problem. Should I put a bigger or smaller pull up resistor? ESP8266 VCC is connected straight to a 3.6 V power supply. Thanks
