Update new code to an old core 1.65-OTA node

Is there a way to upload new code (done with recent core like 2.4.2) to an old method OTA node with 1.65-945 esp core? The one containing "OTA_Setup(); OTA_Init(); OTA_Process(); " method (to understand what i mean). I don't want to manual reprogram it with serial, it is very difficult to remove it from there positions.... under the main home connections....
