RGB LED Strip

So I just woke up with a brilliant idea and newly activated account,

Take an arduino pro mini, with some code for controlling RGB LEDs via serial commands,
rather than have the arduino hooked up to a pc with precessing or something, we adapt the code to the ESP module,
and from there, use one of those cheap eBay 'RGB LED Amplifier' to drive our lengths of LED, in my case will be ~7 meters, and all this should fit in the original LED strips remote control box!

I will take a look into this and report back here, and my blog (link on my profile) with any progress I may or may not make.

As it stands, ive been havingg trouble finding *any* getting started info D:

*will post elsewhere to ask around*

Has already been done, and you can buy it for little money:

Just connect the pins of the RGB led on the board to three power MOSFETs and you're ready.

this is very interesting :0

but I still think mine would hold value, as you could for example, easily adapt an arduino sketch that changes lights to sound or somethign, and have it all controlled via web ui..

oh well, might grab one of thoser and play around a little!
Thanks!
