CDT Arduino plugin for eclipse

Following this setup https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TtPvkPpAx0E it should be pretty straight forward to get going with this plugin and I have used this until now without issues.
However, having problems with wifi scan which could be related to the SDK version I decided to update this as of this writing to 2.4.0-rc2.
After doing this I was not able to build anymore, getting this message which you can see in attachment.
I decided to do a complete removal and install eclipse oxygen and the cdt arduino plugin again, but outcome is the same.
Anyone experiencing the same as I?
