Basic example for Eclipse/ Visual Studio 2013

Hi everyone!!
I'm trying to get into this fascinating world with ESP8266 and I'm a little bit lost. I found tons of information and it seems that the best (or one of the best) way to program ESP8266 is using Arduino IDE. Nevertheless, I don't like Arduino environment and I'd like to have all the headers and sources on my sight.
I'm trying to use Eclipse or Visual Studio to program a very basic hello world (just toggle a GPIO) and then I'll continue with my whole project. My question is if there is a guide o could you tell me which files I need to make this basic example? I'm not worried about the C code but I'm worried about the configuration of the IDE.
Any help would be really appreciate.
Thanks in advanced,
Fernando
