SweetPants, do you have a photo of your ESP with the soldered capacitor??

I will try to make a picture and post it.

I had an ESP-01 yesterday that would not connect to my home network. I cut the RESET line according to Sweetpants' instructions, but I do not have chip capas to install. The cutting of the RESET line fixed my problem without a capa.

No, I did not try without capacitor, but I like to play save and filter any spike on the RST line as it is very sensitive.

I agere, and would have done the same if I had chip capas.
